Election Information

Elections and Town Commission

The Town Commissioners serve four-year, non-staggered terms and are elected on a non-partisan basis. The Town of Pembroke Park holds municipal elections every four years, during which all five Commissioners are elected at-large from Districts 1 through 5.

Following each election, during the first regular meeting held in an odd-numbered year, the Commission selects from among its members the Mayor, Vice Mayor, Clerk Commissioner, and Acting Clerk Commissioner.

The Town Clerk serves as the local Supervisor of Elections. Individuals seeking municipal office must file the required documentation with the Town Clerk before opening a campaign account and to qualify for candidacy.

All municipal elections are conducted in accordance with Title IX, Florida Statutes — Electors and Elections (Chapters 97–106).
