The Town of Pembroke Park Makes History

At a recent joint event, The Town of Pembroke Park joined with the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to announce the establishment of a new Sister City partnership with the City of Dinajpur, Bangladesh—an exciting milestone that reflects the Town’s ongoing commitment to global engagement, cultural understanding, and community enrichment. This partnership was formalized to build meaningful connections between the residents, leaders, and institutions of both communities, fostering opportunities that extend far beyond geographical boundaries.

“Today, we make history,” said Musfika Kashem, Vice Mayor of the Town of Pembroke Park. “This is a partnership built on friendship, cooperation and a shared vision for the future.”

As sister cities, Pembroke Park and Dinajpur will work collaboratively to promote cultural exchange, educational partnerships, and economic development initiatives. Through these exchanges, both towns aim to cultivate lasting relationships rooted in mutual respect and shared aspirations for community growth.

For the Town of Pembroke Park, this partnership strengthens its global outreach and creates new avenues for cultural and economic connections. For Dinajpur, the sister city relationship enhances international visibility and provides an opportunity for new paths for cross-cultural dialogue. Together, the two communities will collaborate to deepen understanding, celebrate diversity, and build bridges that positively impact their residents today and for generations to come.
