Hello Town of Pembroke Park Residents,
As Mayor of Pembroke Park, my mission has been to transform our community from the struggling municipality it was into thriving city. When I was first elected in 2019, the Town was in a deplorable, neglected state. It had been mismanaged for years, our services were failing, and morale was incredibly low. Pembroke Park was seen as a black eye in Broward County. I refused to accept that for our future.
From day one, I focused on rebuilding the Town from its very foundation upward. I pushed to establish our own Police Department built on a “for us, by us” community policing model. I insisted on creating a Human Resources department and modernizing outdated policies and procedures. By investing substantial amounts of time into ensuring accountability, efficiency, and proper infrastructure, I have moved Pembroke Park from the gutter to a position of strength.
Today, our Town is fully staffed, fully functional, and moving forward. We offer competitive pay and top-tier benefits, which allows us to recruit and retain the best staff in local government. The talented professionals we bring in are pushing Pembroke Park to maintain a high level of excellence and service. What was once a struggling community is now one we can all be proud of.
I have always believed leadership is about serving people first. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I organized food drives to support families when they needed it most. Today, I am proud that Pembroke Park is the only municipality in Broward County currently providing free breakfast and lunch to our elementary school students because I refused to let our children go hungry on my watch.
My passion for leadership comes from a life spent balancing service, family, aviation, and public safety. I am a U.S. Navy disabled veteran, a former state trooper, and a professional aviator. My years of service in uniform taught me discipline, accountability, and the importance of protecting and serving others. Because I care about the lives and safety of my fellow people, I pursued higher education in Criminal Justice and Criminology at Arizona State University which further deepened my understanding of justice, governance, and leadership.
I have been flying since I was 14 years old and I have gone on to serve as an airline captain and filled executive roles in aviation. As an entrepreneur I have launched nine successful startups, but nothing compares to my work of heart: rebuilding this community and seeing positive changes in the lives of our residents.
At the core of everything I do is my family. I am a proud husband and father of three. When I am not serving the Town or in the skies, you will often find me coaching junior league ice hockey or lacing up my own skates for competitive adult league games. No matter where I go, I bring the same focus, discipline, and commitment to creating a better future.
Pembroke Park is on the rise, and over the course of this term, residents should expect to see even more progress. My goal remains simple: to continue transforming this Town into one of the best communities in Broward County. One built on integrity, accountability, and the vision of a better life for us all.
