Meet Musfika Kashem

Musfika Kashem also known as Mishu to her close friends and family, was born in 1989 in the capital city of Bangladesh. The youngest of her siblings, she grew up studying alongside her older sister, often living away from her parents in pursuit of a better education. After completing her early schooling, Musfika continued her academic journey in another major city, where she earned both a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA).

During her studies, Musfika married, started a family, and welcomed her daughter, Zoya. Soon after completing her MBA, she immigrated to the United States in 2016, making Florida her new home.

Starting over in a new country came with challenges, especially with English not being her native language. Through determination and hard work, she overcame those barriers, taking part-time jobs at ROSS and Dollar General to support her family while continuing to pursue her American dream. Her dedication quickly paid off as she advanced within both companies, mastered English, and built her confidence in her new community.

In 2019, Musfika accepted a position with Monument Real Estate Services as a Leasing Consultant, marking the beginning of her professional career in real estate. Her strong work ethic and passion for helping others led to rapid growth that she was promoted to Assistant Leasing Manager and then to Manager at Centennial Management Corporation’s corporate office within just a year.

After many years of perseverance, raising her family, and working tirelessly, Musfika proudly became a United States citizen in 2020, a milestone that symbolized the fulfillment of her American dream.

Throughout her life, Musfika has carried with her the wisdom of her late father, who taught her that giving your all to any endeavor, will lead to achieving your greatest aspirations. His words continue to inspire her commitment to hard work, independence, and service to others.

Now serving as Vice Mayor and District 4 Commissioner for the Town of Pembroke Park, Musfika is honored to give back to the community that helped shape her journey. She believes that if she can achieve her dreams through determination and faith, others in her community can too. Her mission as Commissioner is to help turn the dreams of Pembroke Park residents into reality, proving that when we give our all to our community, we can achieve everything our Town aspires to be.
